Foodilicious

Finally, a detailed entry about my trip.

Food played a huge part in my trip, one of the main reason i went to Malaysia was to taste all the food that all the Malaysian that’s been bragging about. I need to shut them up for once and all.

Because normally, the convo will go like:

Malaysian: Have you tried malaysian food?
Me:  um..no…but i heard it’s quite good.
Malaysian: OMG IT IS, you gota try all them nasi things, etc etc (Goes on 30min talking about all the food and how good they are, while I nods)

But after my trip it’s like this:

Malaysian: Have you tried malaysian food?
Me: YES~! it’s hell good~!
Malaysian: It is isn’t it~!
Me: Yup
*convo finishes, quick, fast and to the point*

See. Need to shut them up.

To be dead honest tho, the food there was…wow, amazing.

Cheap and nice. for 6 days, i forgot all about hygiene.  Screw bacteria, bring on the awesome food.

I had everything from fish with in banana leaf (Otah? or something) to Random crap on a stick deeped in boiling hot water. It’s a great experience no one should pass up in their life.

first thing i had in malaysia…some noodle thing

As i am so ashamed to say this, I forgot nearly the name to all the food i had, haha. And due to the excitment looking at the cheap food, a lot of them i was only able to take a picture of the empty plate, or in it’s half eaten state.

Roti Prata

And some food name just can’t be forgotten :P Roti Prata~! 1.5rm i think it was. Cheap as. One day I had so much curry that my stomach acid came back up and burnt my throat so bad, i was in a posh shopping centre too, so it wasn’t nice. I had a lot of other Rotis too, like Roti Bomb. They are taste super duper nice.

some meegoreng kinda thing definitely better than the ones i cook at 2am in the morning

There are so many food in malaysia that you need a whole life time to try them all out, i was lucky enough to stay there for 6 days, and I tried nearly as many as i could.

Some jap looking noodle sold in a hongkong shop

This thing, i totally forgot the name to. It’s like hard fruits mixed in this black sticky sauce, and then covered in peanuts. Starting off tasting not that bad, but after a while it got sickening, haha.

I know that looks like a pile of those things that come out of ur ass, but trust me it’s delicious~! some sort of noodles

My stomach did me good, it didn’t complain at all, all the way till the last day, when my stomach was aching for a long time, but that was worth it, 5 days of worryless eating~!

Satay, with onion, nice stuff

Nasi lamak, 1RM each, heaven ok? haha

That fish in banana leaf thing which i mentioned. I didn’t actually like it that much

Dipping sauce for kaya toast

The way they eat some food in Malaysia is quite fascinating. Like cooking the rice and stuff inside a banana leaf. It’s said that it originate from ages ago, since paper back then was expensive, and there were banana leafs all around the place for free, so the substitute happened.  Nowadays, banana leafs are costing more than paper, but they realized the scent from banana leaf actually made the food taste a lot nice, but to save on the cost, they have to use a piece of paper to cover most of it, and hold it in. Hehe, 歪打正着.

Forgot the name as well, just you pick all these things on sitcks and you dip them into boiling water and eat, super nice.

Fried egg and oyster, simple but tasty

A lot of random crap cooked in curry

Chow Kuey Deow? Looks diff from what i had before, but taste better

Prawn Noodles, A lot better than the ones we have at city, and less than one fifth the price…

Some beef (or chicken) noodle thingy

After all the hawkers food, which are always considered the best. We still  tried some resturant food, and it’s just not promising.

At this jap resturant, ordered this deep fried crab…we expected this:

big, red, nice

Instead…after ages of eagerly waiting, we got this:

wtf?

Where’s my awesome red crab~~! I felt so jibbed, lets just stick with the good old hawkers food.

There’s more, I also checked out the fast food joints in Malaysia, ones we never heard of back here, and some others which we are fully familiar with.

A&W Fast foods

the normal fries

the not so normal root beer + ice cream

After the “All American Food” I went straight to this place..

What is it?

Any idea yet?

Yes. It’’s the oh famous KFC. The food we are so familiar with, served on a plate? But trust me, the chicken there taste a lot better tho.

Smells like gas bombs

After all the food, now onto the drinks, I didn’t take too many photos, but just thinking about the drinks i had, my mouth is already getting try and thirsty…

Barley water

TehDarek? or something, I loved it tho

Red stuff plus lime, prob have way too much food colouring in there that it will harm you, but taste damn nice and cooling tho.

Iced Lemon Tea. Real Ice, Real Lemon and Real Tea. =O

A trip in asia is not complete without a bottle of tiger beer.

That’s about all the photos i can gather along my trip, a lot of the photos looked like this:

So there’’s really no point putting it up.

The food it is really to die for, with that kind of price, who would say no to eating.

A lot of shops are also 24/7, so anytime your hungry, just pull out max 5rm and someone will cook you something nice and hot. brought to you with a smile.

I wonder why there isn’t many obese people in Malaysia?
