As time goes by, my 18th’s birthday is coming too. And I would want to use this entry to tell everyone, no presents for me this birthday please. In return, don’t really expect much either. haha. No, i’m not being cheap, i’m just sick of all the buying present thing.

Why? this..

Presents, as people say:”it’s the thought that counts”. But really, is it? Birthday presents have lost it’s meaning by a mile.

Many people now are buying presents for the sake of buying presents, not worrying what the receiver needs/wants.  And what’s worse, many more are simply “chipping in” to other presents…

conversations like this occurs quite often..

Person A: hey what you getting C
Person B: dunno
Person A: i’m gonna go shopping later, maybe grab him something
Person B: can i just chip in?
Person A: yea k
Person B: alright.

So person B doesn’t care at all about the present..as long as he believes he gave something, and if his lucky will get someone back in return, his happy.

So through time, the meaning of a present has simply DIED.

Therefore, i request, no presents this year. So you don’t have to worry about my presents. All I want from y’all is a simple wish of Happy Birthday, to show that you actually remembered.

There are many things I want in the world, none of which anyone else can get it for me, therefore, there isn’t much point.

The best present would just be to know that there’s heaps of people in the world cares *remembers* your bday. But if you can afford to give me an expensive present..then by all means go for it if you need any hints….*cough 350z cough*
