This mv, is wow.

Before watching it, I read all the comments on youtube, and they were going on about how scary and creepy this MV was, so i was bit creeped out, but after watching it, i reckon it’s simply awesome, one of the best MV I’ve seen.

The basic story is, that he fell in love with the girl across the road, he kidnaps her, and wants to spend more time with her, but she is obviously scared so she fights back, but he give her some drugs, and do things he always wanted to do with her (ie. play the piano and dancing) after awhile *this is the bit i didn’t understand*, i guess he wanted to preserve her, so he kinda framed her up… (you will know what I mean if you watch it)

the following is a 6min extended and uncensored version, there’s the normal 5min censored version on the net too, but that’s no fun..

This MV is creepy, but awesome, i reckon people will either LOVE IT! or HATE IT! haha, go JJ!

As you all have heard, we have to re sit the exam

Would I be like the rest of them? swearing, cursing, chucking a sad on my blog? nop

Am I happy we have to resit the exams? Nop

Would I complain about it? Nop

Why? Coz I screwed up the first one, so re doing it might give me a better score

What Do I say? Booyah

Elite Study Group A group formed by six UWA engineerings to help each other getting through the years of pain and torture. Yes, it is as nerdy as it sounds. What do four guys do when they had nothing else better to do? Go drinking? nop, instead, start a study group. Sounds pathetic already. This group started by 4 guys, whom one weekend, decided to drop by Lionel’s place, and since engineering is so much work, we decided to bring our work along, so we won’t feel so guilty for having fun. But from a few hours of hard work, it turned to a two day slack work. Due to the fact we actually got heaps of things done, ESG is born! The next week, two more engineers came due to the wonderful things that went around about us.

Study area #1

What from a random gather and study turned into a weekly study group, spanning(gah! span, never want to hear that word again, MATH1010 ftl) from Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. Before I go on, lets introduce the members…(in alphabetical order)

Name’s Andrew, one of the four originals. This guy, what can I say, crazy at times? Actually, crazy all the time, but damn smart. No study and still ace everything, where’s the justice. If you randomly walked into our study group, the chances are you will find this guy dota’ing or sleeping. Then why is he apart of us you ask? I guess we have no idea, just not nice to kick people out right? haha, just kidding, like I said, this guy’s really smart, so yea, i guess his brain is quite valuable to us all.

The second Andrew of the group, also apart of the original four. This andrew is the coolest of the group! yay!. Yea, I can’t help a bit of self praise on my own blog right, it’s all good. Most of the time, the transporter of the group too. I’m not as bright as the smartest in the group, neither as dumb as the most stupid in the groups, so i’m smack bang in the middle. If you randomly come into the study group, you will most likely find me chucking my pen or book on the table due to the frustration I’m having towards Jellyfish.

Named Jason, one of the wacked ones of the group, along with andrew, they make the crazy duo. This dude is really smart too, and his is really good at doing jellyfish, so i guess he helps us cut down the hours. He also doesn’t sleep, either dat or his sleeping pattern is completely opposite as everyone else, he will always be the last one to go to sleep..unless his drunk, but that’s another story. If you randomly come to our study group, you might just bump into him either youtub’ing or trying to solve a jellyfish question.

Lionel’s his name. His the smartest of the group, and the most hard working. Seriously, the work he put into uni, no wonder he ace everything. He is also the master of lame jokes, the first few weeks, we all laugh out of sympathy, but nowadays, we just look at him and shake our heads in disgust. If you randomly walked in on us, you will definitely find him either doing a question or copying notes down. (Although he likes to play his DS, you will never find him playing during a study group session, coz his so damn hardworking, make the rest of us look so bad). And he also hosts the ESGs everyweek, except for one, which was hosted at Jason’s place.

His name is actually chwee sheng, but we all call him peanut, the reason is totally another story. Peanut here was the original four, but only later on in the stage stay for the whole 2 days. He is quite smart too, but doesn’t try as hard haha. Although his a engineer, but deep inside of him, he would love to become a doctor. If you randomly walk in, you would most likely find this guy flirting on MSN with some girl or reading wikipedia. Rarely you can find him doing any work haha! But he still not doing that bad, so i guess it’s all good. (P.S his also the guy who disturbs us from doing work, we’ve tried many times to kick him out, but all have been un-successful)

Last but not least, Yuhan! This is a guy whom can’t eat any thing, as in he is allergic to everything, so during ESG, we will have to be careful what we eat, don’t want to accidentally kill our awesome member. He is quite good with math actually, so helps us out sometimes. If you came, chances are you will find him saying:”maybe” as that’s his answer to every single question in the world, actually that or flirting with lionel…

Although she’s not part of us, I still have to blog about her. Name’s Everlyn, Lionel’s fiancé. She’s there with us most of the time, putting up with our noise and everything. Everytime i see her, she’s infront of her computer, studying, but everytime i actually look at her computer screen, she’s either chatting on msn or friendster or facebooking. haha But she’s quite funky, so ESG won’t be the same without her, actually, the past two weeks, she weren’t there, and ESG got so much done :D.

A normal routine of ESG would include Jellyfish, this crazy, frustrating online ‘Mechanics’ assignment program. Everyweek, we have to do 2 questions. What basically happens, is we break into groups of 3 and attack the two questions. When done, the teams can explain the question to the other team. Sounds like an awesome plan right? WRONG! Nearly every week, the 6 of us, would struggle with 2 questions for about 8 or so hours. The first one out is always andrew, he would give up and go either to dota or sleep. Once we all gave up on jellyfish, leaving Jason doing it himself, and next morning, when I woke up, we saw a piece a paper of question 2 solution on the table, and jason sleeping tightly. THAT, is the power of ESG. haha.

Sleep place #1

The average sleeping hours for ESG would be 5am to 10 or 11am on Sunday. That’s no where near enough sleep, but what can we do, it’s our own fault for doing engineering right?

After a few weeks, the housemate of Lionel started to complain about the noise we were making, which is disturbing them sleep, so we decided to move down stairs, to the public lounge .

This place is no where as comfortable, but I guess it’s a cozy little place. We spent hours in this place attacking the past exam papers. I’m sure we all have good memories from this place, except for Lionel, whom got freaked out by Jason. Through out the night, Jason couldn’t stop acting possessed…so yea.

It’s the holidays now, it also means the end to ESG, atleast for semester one. We all have a good go in semester one, through the laughter and the tears, we all pulled through. This semester was good for ESG, as we had a lot of units in common, this will change next semester, but lets hope ESG stays alive.

This study group was actually very helping, even though we mucked around a bit, we still helped each other with questions and all. Without it, I don’t know if I could have passed uni. (yes kids, it’s that hard)

So I would like to thank the ESG group (named above) for there helping me out. Thank the housemates for putting up with our noise, and thank Lionel for the place to stay every weekend.

Lastly, let me just say, i’m so glad the exams are over, and I don’t need to study for a long time!

CS Retreat will be a 3 day, 2 night, predominantly Asian, fun camp held during the July Winter Holidays. It will be an opportunity for members, friends and other university students to socialize and have a good time before the intense university year starts again.

By day, you’ll get a chance to chill out with your friends, meet other UWA students, and play some totally awesome games. By Night, we’ve got two parties that’s will literally BLOW YOU AWAY …. .The two nights will have different themes, so your expected to dress to theme and party the night away!

CS Retreat 2007 is the FIRST EVER Asian club camp that’s open to ALL UNI STUDENTS … and our whole social team only has one purpose …. we’re gonna show you a GOOD TIME!

Where will it be?

This year CS RETREAT will be at …. wait for it …. NANGA!

NANGA is well known to UWA camps (its where every faculty induction camp is held) and the venue is an absolute BLAST! The venue is hidden in pristine forest amidst a tranquil part of sleepy dwellingyup. Theres shops just up the road, a pristine river within walking distance, and plenty of free space to do whatever you like (play sport, make out, boozeup, pre-read semester 2 lectures etc …)!

When: July 10th, 11th, 12th (Tue, Wed, Thurs)

Where: NANGA BUSH CAMP! It’s in dwellingyup, and we’ll get there as a group, so don’t worry you won’t get lost!

Cost: 3 days, 2 nights …. ALL transport, accomodation, meals, activities and ALCOHOL included! All for just $100! We told you it was a good deal - but you must register early!
